On Wednesday, October 16 at 7:00 pm, Walter Choroszewski, well-known New Jersey photographer, former science educator, and popular speaker, will talk about the history of immigration to America. He will cover the first Colonial Wave of immigration, through the second mid-1800s wave of frontier expansion, culminating with the third Great Wave that passed through Ellis Island Immigration Station in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These migrants brought their culture and traditions and blended into the melting pot of America. Mr. Choroszewski is the grandson of Eastern European immigrants and will share stories of his family’s journey. There is no charge to attend the program; advance registration is requested.
