Look up to the stars! Come to Bernardsville Public Library on Thursday, August 15 at 7:00 pm to experience an inspiring and uplifting presentation that will draw you into a deeper understanding of the workings of the universe. Our presenter is Kevin Manning, formerly a consultant with NASA, the Chandra X-Ray Observatory (launched on the space shuttle with the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics), and other ground-based observatories. He was both a Wright Fellow and an Einstein Fellow, and did some work with Brookhaven National Laboratory.

“In a time when there is concern for our nation and welfare, the purpose of “Look Up to the Stars” is to help everyone do just that,” said Mr. Manning, “to think big, dream big, and to foster interest, curiosity and literacy in science.”

Join us for this family-friendly presentation for ages 8 to 100 and learn more about the beauty and harmony of the universe. The program will explore the universe from the very small to the very large. It’s a virtual journey throughout the cosmos. Following the presentation and weather permitting, we will all go outdoors to view the rings of Saturn and craters on the moon through a powerful hand-crafted telescope.

There is no charge to attend the program and no sign-up is needed. Call the Library, 1 Anderson Hill Road, at 908-766-0118 for further information.
